We drew up an implementation plan together with the sector associations
Gupta supported several sector associations (NFU, NVZ, ActiZ, the Dutch Mental Healthcare association, VGN, KNMP and VIG) in drafting their individual implementation plans. We also worked with all of the associations, including the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, Zorgverzekeraars Nederland and several knowledge partners, on an integrated implementation plan. This integrated plan describes all the activities the associations will carry out jointly, including the associated governance and an estimate of the financial support required.

For each of the Green Deal themes, we organized working sessions with the sector associations, inviting experts to share insights and bringing the associations together to discuss joint activities, realistic targets and the investments needed. We helped the associations make their plans as concrete as possible, and wrote the integrated implementation plan that was shared and discussed in the Dutch House of Representatives in March 2023.

Sector associations are accelerating sustainability in healthcare through their plans
With these plans, the sector associations are giving concrete substance to the targets in the Green Deal. The joint plan contains ambitious targets for making Dutch healthcare more sustainable and provides clarity on the governance and funding required. It is encouraging to see how energetically many parties in healthcare are taking up the targets in the Green Deal, supported by forward-thinking sector associations.
