Future-proof
"In the Netherlands, we spend a lot of money on healthcare: a total of about EUR 600 per person per month. That sums up to more than 100 billion euros per year. CPB, the Netherlands Bureau for
Economic Policy Analysis, also expects the share of healthcare costs in public expenditure to rise from 9.5% in 2023 to 10.6% in 2028. It is a major challenge to keep healthcare future-proof and to ensure that we also have enough money for other important services, such as housing and education. This will only be possible if we continue to take a critical and innovative look at how we organize healthcare."
Two favorites
"My work at Gupta gives me the opportunity to combine two of my professional favorites: healthcare and consultancy. As an investor in healthcare innovations, I have seen how much creativity and motivation there is in the sector to provide increasingly better care, for example with a smarter way-of-working or by using smart tools. My background as a consultant in financial services provides me with valuable experience to use clear analyses and a structured approach for an assignment. I get a lot of satisfaction from projects where these aspects come together to improve healthcare."
